WISEMANN FLUGELHORN FLH-600
Here's a great Flugelhorn at a fantastic price. Rose Brass Bell and Lead Pipe makes it not only play well, but it looks . Reasonable size canvas case vs. some of those HUGE Flugelhorn cases.
Let's see some Features:
Rose Brass Bell and Lead Pipe
Stainless Steel valves
Mega-sized third valve trigger (save on the weight of that 4th valve)
Bell 6.1" bore
Bore - A mellow .441"
Mouthpiece and case included
Super sweet and rich flugelhorn. The rose brass bell creates rich overtones and a mellow horn. When I first took this out to play, I grabbed my own flugelhorn mouthpiece (A Schilke) to give it a spin. When I had a demo out and was using the supplied MP it was a too deep for me. So, while you'll probably like the included mouthpiece, I'm knocking $50 off what should be at least a $500 price just to help you find a mouthpiece you like if you don't like the included one. Great horn, can't see any reason why this couldn't sit next to the finest trumpets on your stand, a great doubling horn.
WISEMANN POCKET TRUMPET - NEW
Okay, here's a fun little novelty item. 1st off, a pocket trumpet IS NOT a piccolo trumpet which is pitched an octave above. This is a regular sized trumpet where the tubing is bent more so that it fits into a smaller size. There are several of these on the market. Most of them are cheap e-bay/generic specials. Those are cute, but the play is rather toyish. I had a generic one, but when I had a chance to play this Wisemann , I found out it was an order of magnitude better..bigger tubing, better valves, MUCH larger bell and greater playability approaching that of a regular trumpet. This is the large bell DPT-400, the Canadian Brass used to sell this horn on their website. I found this horn great for travel being able to place it in the "carry on luggage" (With the commuters you checked it at plane side). Okay, I once had to entertain the TSA agents who just HAD to see what popped up on their x-ray! It does have pack straps so it's great for the bicyclist, scuba diver, or sky diver (okay maybe just the cyclist).
Here's the specs:
DPT-400 Bb Pocket Trumpet
Bb Pocket trumpet
Bell 123mm, bore 11.65mm (4.84" Bell, .459 bore size - Both well within standard trumpet specs)
Brass lacquered finish (We also have Silver)
Stainless steel piston valves
Canvas case (A FANTASTIC and SOLID CASE)
Includes Trumpet Mouthpiece and cleaning cloth.
"I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Wisemann pocket trumpet. It's a great little instrument. I understand why some of the pros buy these for practicing while on vacation; I'll easily be able to take it with me when traveling. While I'll play for the joy of it, I'm aiming to get good enough to sit in with my church's praise band sometime. As a once-upon-a-time French horn player, I'm enjoying the challenge!" Wisemann DCT-500 Cornet
This is a beautiful (listed as an "Intermediate") Cornet. It's two tone effect is achieved by the use of Rose Brass for the Bell and lead pipe. Stainless steel valves assure long life and smooth action. One of the great benefits of selling these horns, I get to play them and this one is awesome. The rose brass shepherd bell give a sweet cornet sound. Absolutely gorgeous. This horn will hold it's own against any cornet. A huge .465 bore size (Note: some websites list this as a .441, but my Invoice has .465. I don't have high end measuring gear, but it's at least .460 and probably .465 ).
So here's the skinny:
Lead pipe: Rose Brass
Bell: Rose Brass 4.92"
Fixed Saddle 1st Valve Intonation
Bore Size 0.465
Stainless Steel Valves
Wisemann Canvas Case
